Act quickly and document everything: stop paying, secure your accounts, and report the provider through the channels that match how you paid. Recovery is never guaranteed, and be wary of anyone who promises to get your money back for a fee. Those "recovery services" are often a second scam.
First 24 hours
- Stop sending money. Cancel subscriptions and recurring payments. Do not pay "release fees," "tax fees," or "upgrade fees" to unlock withdrawals.
- Preserve evidence. Screenshot chats, signal histories, payment receipts, wallet addresses, website pages, and any performance claims. Save usernames and URLs before they vanish.
- Secure your accounts. If you shared broker logins, MT4/MT5 investor or master passwords, or gave remote access, change passwords right away and revoke any access. Never share a master password or let anyone trade your account unless you have verified they are properly licensed.
Where to report and ask for help
- Your bank or card issuer: Ask about a chargeback or dispute. Time limits apply, so do this early. Outcomes vary.
- Payment platform or crypto exchange: Report the receiving account. Crypto transfers are rarely reversible, but exchanges can sometimes freeze funds.
- Your broker: If your trading account was involved, tell its support team.
- Regulators and police: File a report with your national financial regulator and local fraud-reporting service. Search for the official body in your country.
- Platforms: Report the channel or profile to Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, or wherever it operated.

Losing trades alone doesn't prove fraud, because every strategy has losing streaks. Warning signs of an actual scam include guaranteed returns, fake or edited results, pressure to deposit with a specific broker, requests for account control, and refusal to let you withdraw. Avoid being targeted again
Scam victims are often contacted afterward by "recovery agents." Ignore unsolicited offers. Before you subscribe to anything new, check independently verified results; our walkthrough on verifying a track record on Myfxbook, FX Blue, and MQL5 shows how. Be skeptical of screenshots and backtests, which are easy to flatter. Keep your expectations grounded too, as covered in what you can realistically make from forex signals.
When you're ready to evaluate providers again, use our review and comparison pages as a starting point, and confirm current details on each provider's official site. Trading carries real risk of loss, and no provider can remove it.
